The Santa Fe-based photographer and art administrator works as the artist development manager for the International Folk Art Market, exhibiting over 140 world-class folk artists from over 50 countries. Stubbs previously worked as the director of the Horseshoe Gallery, led by local curator Bobby Beals. For several years at the Crested Butte Center for the Arts, Rachael was the Kinder Padon Gallery’s manager and curator. They organized several dozen juried and curated exhibits with over 50 artists in two years.
Rachael is a recent MA graduate, with a degree specializing in Museum and Gallery Management (MGMM). REGINASSANCE, Stubbs’ MGMM practicum project, was curated, designed, painted, and crafted by a cohort of five women. Rachael holds dual BA degrees in film photography and business administration. Color is The Suffering of Light was Stubbs’ BA exhibit at Western Colorado University’s Quigley Gallery.
